I don’t really get the whole Christmas feel with this. It was delicious and I wish I had a tall glass of this over ice while I sit next to my pool. I mean, I live in Florida, so it’s basically pool weather 9 months out of the year.
Briefly, white tea is picked before the tea leaves unfurl, and they still have little white hairs, and that is where they get the name. White tea is very delicate in taste. I have found that mostly when this tea is used, it’s blended with stronger flavors that usually overpower the tea’s actual character.

It also brews up light in color. Where black tea is dark, and green tea is light green, white tea is more a golden hue.
In this cup, the peach is very present and strong. The other flavors are second to this, and the tea is lost. Which isn’t bad, but if you’re here for tea, you’re going to get a cup of peach flavored water.
I really enjoy peaches, and it is always summer for me.

This tea is enjoyable but doesn’t feel like it belongs in a Christmas narrative.
It gets 4 peaches for summer fun and 3 for a Christmas blend.
I actually like it when we disagree…
I want to drink this with a toasted slice of panettone. The peachy flavour will be the perfect compliment to the traditional Italian ‘fruit cake’.

I’m back to the dried apricots here. Love them. Peaches (while not a favourite summer fruit of mine) are lovely baked or canned or stewed, or dried. Dried fruits always invoke winter and Christmas to me. Spiced pears and candied pears are also Christmassy. I’m totally feeling the holiday vibe here.
I love white tea. While I can take or leave green tea, white tea is special. The delicate flavour, especially when blended well, is a tiny bit of joy upon my tongue.
I woke stupid early this morning to go with friends to watch the sunrise at America’s Stonehenge in New Hampshire. We had never been before. It was cold, but so worth it. We all want to go back at different times of the year. If you are in the area, you should visit.

This tea gets 5 out of 5 pear trees. Delightful! And a wonderful way to warm up after a snowy solstice morning walk in New Hampshire.
